About the service

What does the service do?

We provide wheelchairs, pressure care, and specialist seating systems for children, young people and adults. We aim to help maximise the mobility, independence and quality of life for our service users and their carers and families.

Who are we?

We are a team of customer services, clinical, warehouse and logistics professionals who work together to meet all of your wheelchair needs.

Our clinical team includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists and rehabilitation engineers, supported by specialist technicians.

What do we provide?

We provide the following to people registered with a GP within our service area, subject to the NHS eligibility criteria:

  • Transit and self-propelling manual wheelchairs to meet basic mobility needs
  • Powered wheelchairs for indoor use, which may be used outside if we assess this is safe. Please note that we cannot offer powered wheelchairs for outdoor use only.
  • Buggies for children over 30-months or to younger children with specialist seating needs
  • Pressure care cushions and accessories for use in wheelchairs
  • Specialist seating systems for when off-the-shelf solutions aren’t suitable
  • Training and information on how to use your equipment, including daily maintenance
  • Planned and preventative maintenance to keep your equipment in good condition
  • An accessible repair service, including an urgent response service for those at risk of harm due to equipment failure
